Angela Gossow Urach
Angela Gossow grew up in Cologne along with her three siblings. She was 17 when her parents divorced. As their business fell apart her family was faced with more financial issues. In addition, the fact that she was anorexic and also bipolar was a further cause of her problems. Gossow, who was ARCH ENIY's lead singer at the time, stated that she'd decided to retire. When I started in 1991, I was just beginning my professional career. The joy of living in the open road had diminished. Then I decided not to be a fool anymore, but instead quit. The band was originally fronted by Johan Liiva who was replaced by German singer Angela Gossow in 2000. John Farnham's 1986 hit song You're The Voice was an enormous hit in Australia, Ireland and UK.
