Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is an Indian performer, singer-songwriter, and musician. Her main focus is Tamil as well as Malayalam movies. Her acting debut was in Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and also made her Malayalam debut with Annayum raolum. Andrea Jeremiah is an Anglo-Indian born at Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father works as a lawyer in the Madras High Court. Her younger sister works as an assistant researcher from Belgium who lives in Leuven. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea began playing classical piano in her eighth year. Young Stars, a Jackson Five-style band which she joined at the age of 10 years old, was her starting point for singing and composing music. She appeared as an actor at her college in various performances hosted through The Madras Players or EVAM. Then she was an EVAM Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea's career in theatre began by appearing in the film of Girishkarnad's Nagamandala. The actress acted in the new leo commercial for coffee with actor Shiva in the year 2006. Also, she was a part of a serial which relayed in Podhigai channel. She has performed throughout India. She appeared briefly in Kanda Mudhal's climax, (2005). Gautham A. Menon was invited after she performed a number in the film Vettaiyaadu, to perform as a lead character on Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea played Kalyani the homemaker who's husband has an affair with someone else. Andrea got the part of Kalyani when Simran Shobana Tabu and other actors were approached.
