Rauw Alejandro

Raul Alejandro Olasio was born on January 10, 1993. He is also known as Rauw Alejandro. He is referred to as the "King of Modern Reggaeton",[2][3He is part of "the new generation" of Puerto Rican urban musicians. His debut album, Afrodisiaco, was released in November of 2020. His second studio album Vice Versa was released in June 2021. It featured the lead single "Todo de Ti". Two Latin Grammy Awards have been won by him from 12 nominations. Raul Alejandro Ruiz was born on the 10th of January 1993, in San Juan, Puerto Rico and was raised in Canovanas and Carolina. Alejandro's father was a guitarist Raul OcasioRuiz, and his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz (backing vocalist) introduced him to a variety of his musical heroes, including Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, as well as Chris Brown. Alejandro and his father resided for many years in the United States. They mainly resided in New York City and Miami. Alejandro and Anuel who was a fellow Puerto Rican rapper, were childhood pals. They both attended the same high school and shared classes. [9][10] Alejandro was a skilled dancer as a youngster and was also a contestant in talent shows. He attended the University of Puerto Rico after having graduated from high school. At the age of six until the age of 20, he played soccer, but then he decided to quit because he "could not perform as well as was expected to" and was injured at age 20. He moved to Orlando, Florida to attempt to be scouted for a spot in the Premier Development League (PDL) but was ultimately not successful. Rauw Alejandro's musical style is Latin R&B and reggaeton. He also likes the rhythmic pop and ballads. Billboard claimed that this helps him stand out from the growing number of pop-leaning reggaetoneros. Presley and Jackson were influential early on. He was later influenced by Ricky Martin and Daddy Yankee. He also cites Ciara as a musical influence.
